The signs that Jesus is present and that we are his true witnesses is that we attend to our sick, console those who are in despair, befriend the friendless; work for social justice, we must not be mute through fear or self - protection. We must do all things well.

Jesus denounces hypocrisy and a religion concerned only with externals. He demands a change of heart and a sincerity between what we say and what we do.

God gives us the freedom of choice. He forces no one to obey him. He leaves us free. Our world is full of contradictory voices and false prophets. May we not be led astray. Only Jesus can give us eternal life.

Mary the mother of Jesus - has conquered sin and death. She has been brought to heaven and we pray that when our time comes we may join her in her Son’s kingdom.

The companionship of Christ is “food for the journey”. He is the one who strengthens us to live in his love and according to his gospel. When I give to another in love, I am giving communion. I am a minister of the Eucharist.

The bread of life - the Body of Christ - is often called ‘’food for the journey’’. Each Mass is the occasion of God giving himself to us in Christ as a companion on our journey of life.

The love of God is a generous love, given to each of us. A generous love that asks his people, to make his generosity visible through the way we treat others.

The heart of Jesus is the ‘’heart of compassion’’. He sees his people in need of his teaching and of his love, and so he gives us his word and his body and blood, food for mind, heart, soul and body.
